Think about it for a second. A 777 is 50+' longer than a B-52 so it would be kind of hard to hide on a island the size of Diego Garcia. If it landed there one of the 3,000 people that work there (Marines, civilians and British Army) Might notice a huge plane that everyone in the world is looking for and take a picture of it. There are also the weekly flights of personnel that man the supply ships stationed there (I counted 6 when I looked at it on Google Earth) who might notice a 777 with Malaysian Airlines written on the side parked at the side of the runway.
