Wow, thanks for the heads up. Should I use a rubber mallet, a ball peen hammer, or a small sledge? I have an industrial air rotary hammer...it would work quickly, but would that be overkill? No sense in pulling off the top of the carb to see why the check valve is stuck eh, just smack it? Sounds like a plan.

number four is fed by the rear float bowl. five and six are fed by the forward float bowl. so a stuck valve in the rear bowl will only overflow number four.
