Mark has always been one of my favorite all time Porsche drivers. Mark did the aero flip in a car at the rather nasty downhill transition coming out from under the old bridge at the end of the back straight at Road Atlanta. The elevation decline was way too sharp when the cars & bikes got faster. A big drop after a very fast lazy curve back straight. Mark survived that flip in an open cockpit car with some good luck of helmet thickness & roll bar. Mark could have been a living American legend if not for his later untimely fatal crash in 75.
Mark went faster with the old 70's equipment than most posters will ever know so Mark liking the Targa best is nothing but PURE GOLD.
