The gap orientation would be my main concern. The rings take a set in their current position. Once they are turned, they will have to reseat. Will they? yeah, most likely, and you probably wouldnt have any problems. But for the price of a set of rings , me personaly id change them. Any time I've pulled my Harleys apart, I've put new rings in.
