I just finished a 996 C4S/LS3 conversion. One thing to consider is that the 911 cars are pretty straight forward, albeit no radiators, but the Boxsters and radiator cars have a ton of technical electrical to deal with. The entire car and it's systems are run by the Porsche ECU and a CAN wire system.
For me this was the most expensive and difficult part of the conversion. Now if you're just going to get the car to run and don't mind blinking icons on the dash then you're half way home. But I wanted a factory look and completion to my conversion. The electrical is not just pluses and minuses, but high tech computer stuff. Renegade doesn't have all the answers for this...
No matter what the conversion is a blast to drive...
