a 71 with a 1.8 and only 42,000 miles and no rust. not original, big claim when key areas are not shown. engine, side panels, underneath, trunks, wheel wells.
I would keep looking. It shows nice with good paint and that may be the factor that has your attention (and maybe impatient to get one). But the mechanical factors are important. Have you considered getting a 914 person to go with you or get a 914 PPI? there are owners that may be able to help that are close by.
