I think the LWR was awesome. People love to knock it because they had a full support crew ec, but face the facts, it wouldn't have happened if they didn't, and we wouldn't have been able to watch a great documentary. The Long Way Down however, was very different, and it appeared badly planned with ridiculous mileage planned everyday to keep in line with the "schedule". It ended up just sounding like a beeatch fest, and seemed to completely lose the spirit of the original.
