There was a few years of SVT Mustang Cobra's (1999-2004 with the exception I think being the 2000 Cobra R) with an IRS. It was fairly easy to swap out and into a non IRS GT, since the mounting points were all the same.
They new Mustang does have an IRS and I think it is a step in the right direction.
As a side note I have two Mustangs in the garage, a 1966 I have owned since I was 17 and a 1992 LX 5.0 that is my daily driver.
