Seems like the 225 has a smaller overall diameter than 205. Will it rub or affect the ABS?
Reason I am asking is I can get a new set of 225 for good price. But if stock size is better than I will stick with original spec.

The 205/55 will have the same overall diameter as the 225/50 so no affect, but if you increase the front tire width you will notice the car oversteer a bit more, depends how you drive it. Not a bad thing on our cars IMO they have too much under steer dialed in from the factory anyway.
