Engine Stalling Part 2
I am updating the post on the problem of my engine stalling on me at traffic lights and stop signs for anybody that is experiencing the same problem. After typing in on google " 2007 Mini Cooper Stalling" I read through a great deal of forums of people experiencing this same dilemma. After reading about Mini's that were stalling and people taking them to there local Mini dealers, only to be told that they couldn't find any problems because no warning lights had shown, which is what was happening to me, and going home for the problem to get worse and then having to go back to there Mini dealer again, it turned out that the solution was simply adding oil.
I went and checked my oil. Checked the dip stick nothing on it, then checked the part where you fill the oil and it was as dry as the Sahara Desert. Shocked was an understatement as I had only in the past few months had a service on the car at our local Mini dealer.
So I gingerly drove the car to get some oil and put it in and thirty miles later the car is running as good as new and no stalling.
I have since found out that with a Mini you should check your oil every 1k miles to avoid this problem from occurring, which I will be doing but every 500 miles......just to be on the safe side.
Hope my update will be of some help before you set of to your local Mini dealer.
