I spent months trying. Then I finally admitted defeat and gave it to a professional.
The car came back worse than when I gave it to him.
Then I pulled it all off, disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled, and put it back in, and worked at it for a while. Finally, it got back to the state where I had it before the trip to the professional.
Found through want ads the proper mechanical injection bits, and fiddled with them for a few weeks before finally getting the stuff dialed in. I was so happy.
I almost sold that car because of the trouble I had with those carbs. Never again.
BTW, I now consider myself a SPICA expert.
