Theoretically, if the route is big enough, you might even be able to stick a telecaster bridge pickup in there, and get a lot more kick than from a strat pickup. It might require some work to make a Tele-sized version of that though.
What's the E to E string spacing on that guitar? looks pretty wide, judging by where the strings fall at the outside ends of the Lawrence blades....
