I think some people are missing the point. If Porsche gave people their money back every time something went wrong, they'd be bankrupt. That said, the guy clearly got a lemon. We have established procedures for dealing with that - take it to arbitration under the lemon law and chances are good you'll get the right result.
He doesn't say, for instance, how many miles he's put on the car or how many days it was in the shop. If he's put, say, 30k miles on the car and it was in the shop for two weeks during that time would you be inclined to give him a full refund? He's not telling the whole story. If it has 2k miles on it and has been in the shop for months on end, he'll get his money back. It's that simple.
