It's very efficient way to get in touch with what real, like minded people think of the world. I used to spend 1/2 an hour at the coffee shop in the morning (plus 1/2 and hour travel, plus gas) and an hour at the Tavern after work (plus 1/2 and hour travel, plus gas, plus gin). Now I can check in with my "friends" anytime I need to take a break from work. No travel, no gas, no - well, sometimes gin is involved.
I "get away with it" because I am my employer (I own the corporation that writes my paycheck), so I don't have hours to keep, just work to do. My boss approves of anything I want to do.
