Thanks guys, really I was just kinda joshin w/ ya. I used to have an Integra Type R, and sold it for the Saab because I needed something more practical (5-door hatch is great when you've got two kids and a mountain biking habit). Then I got the car bug again and turned the Saab into a weekend racer.
Last summer I was the victim of a hit and run that had my Saab off the road for nearly six months. Having no rental coverage, I bought the 944 as a temporary daily driver with the intent on fixing it up for weekend racing this summer, which is what I've been working on.
I'm not a great mechanic, but I tackle my own work when I have time, and am teaching myself new things as often as possible. I still hire out the major work. I became very familiar with turbo systems getting my Saab to over 270 hp, and wanted something N/A for a track car for reliability purposes (in Oklahoma, a lot of our summer races are in 100-degree weather, where heat soak becomes as issue).
I've probably spent more money on the 944 than I should considering its value, but hey, you never recover your money when you go modifiying cars anyway. Plus, it's more fun than the Type R even though it is considerably slower. So that's me, thanks for the feedback guys.
