Hi -

I am in the midst of collecting parts for the pop-out conversion on an '80 SC. I have a set of windows but the frames are in poor shape (chrome worn off, pitting, etc.) and I'm trying to figure out how I want to refinish them. Can you help me with these questions?

1. How do the frames come apart? I removed the seal around the outside of the window and see tiny screws, many look very rusty and I'm afraid they'll break.

2. It looks like there's a seal between the glass and the frame. Are these available for replacement?

3. I would have loved to go the chrome route but it's probably going to be very expensive. Has anyone painted thier trim silver? Does it look good? This would be on a black SC with Turbo flares.
