Left it on a flight to NYC last Xmas. Put in a lost item report, figured it was gone. In airplane mode, so "find my iPAD" didn't work. How they figured out it was mine I'll never know. They emailed me last week and asked for the passcode. Got it today.
Now
it has my phone numbers on the lock screen. Only an iPad 1, but was glad to get it back. I had bought a Samsung Galaxy tablet in the interim.
