A buddy left his iPhone on the counter at United the other day,
We tracked it from Denver and it disappeared for 2 hours and reappeared in San Francisco, where the thief turned it on briefly on the tarmac at the gate. Then it disappeared forever.

My s/o left her iPhone in the ladies room of some dive bar in Nassau, Bahamas. Went back to the bar to see if it was turned in... no joy.. We then went to an internet cafe and tracked the phone and saw it moving around Nassau..away from town....
So we wrote the phone off as a loss... we went back to the ship and she was pretty dejected...had some dinner, casino etc.. later that night, She is in the shower, and the phone rings...
Its the concierge asking to speak with Miss Emily... I mention she is showering and ask the purpose of the call and the concierge asks if Emily had lost anything that day!!!
It turns out a woman who used the womans rest room after Em , saw the phone grabbed it and tried to chase us down... but lost us in the crowd.... This stranger then gave the phone to the restaurant manager (after we had returned asking about the phone)
The restaurant manager then gave the phone to the waitress who served us, she had chatted us up asking which ship we were on... The waitress brought the phone to the ship, and turned it in to someone in the boarding area, and the phone eventually made it to the concierge desk...
After Em was out of the shower and dressed, I mentioned we needed to go see the concierge
She was jumping around like a crazy person when the concierge put her phone on the counter....
Probably a dozen people took part in getting her phone back from the restaurant to the ship....
After all that I felt a little better, my faith in humanity got a good recharge...
ps: not that I was long winded...
Em got in touch with the waitress, got her address, and sent her a gift card and a Abercrombie shirt...
