Anyway, both Porsche and MBz are highly tested before they hit the market. Other makes do a Pasta test -throwing it to the wall (of consumers) and seeing if it sticks.

Also, from a design and materials selection, both Porsche and MBz are superior to other typical offerings ...with MBz in the clear lead for serviceability.

To say they are no better, they just cost more is pure hogwash.

Also, try to compare similar years - as auto standards/requirements force all sorts of Rube-Goldberg solutions/complexity into the design.
Also (2), "Trucks" are exempt from many of those requirements... making them simpler, and easier to service/repair.
