Thankfully the guy that used to own Miss Daisy my '61 356 had a similar thought, and he thought that his wife would understand.
It went well for a few years apparently, until they had children, then she demanded he park the car and go get a "family" car. Miss Daisy sat for 30 years in his garage, he never started it again. And when he divorced her, he started getting the parts together to get her back on the road. Then after a few years he was getting married again, and the soon to be wife said, the car had to go, lol.
Not that I am complaining.......
