Strange, very loud sounds in the sky
Have any of you guys heard any of these very loud strange sounds seemingly coming from the sky? We were in the dining room near a window about nightfall a couple of years ago and heard one. It grew in intensity, remained really loud for about 2-3 seconds, then trailed off. I went outside, but it had already stopped.
It made the local news and one of the reporters kept following up on it with Ft. Jackson and Shaw AFB, but never got an answer.
The one we heard sounded most like those heard in the segment that begins around 1:55 in this one... (excuse the photo shown before you click... nothing in the footage like that):
