Some guys need the exercise. Seriously, there is no reason to shake new oil. The only "stratification" I can think of would be if you had a bunch of fuel in the oil, such as our MFI systems cause, or if it were wintertime, and you dumped a cup of fuel in the oil to thin it for cold-weather starting. Probably more appropriate to a Cat diesel bulldozer than a 911.
