I replaced my HD a few months back and wish I had gone with an SSD. It a 2007 Mac Book Pro and just keeps plugging along. I do periodic backups on a 1TB LaCie.

I replaced dropbox with it for several reasons.
I have a need to share a lot of data with others. With dropbox if I have for example a 10 GB account limit and have 5 gb used and someone shares 5gb with me my account is full. More than 5 gb and i either need to manage my space or pay for more.
Dropbox double dips.
With copy.com, under the same scenario the shared 5 gb is split by the number of people sharing it. So it it's only two of us it only counts as 2.5 gb towards our limit, if four people share it it only counts as 1.25 gb for each of us.
Copy counts shares equitably.
I have way too many email addresses, I have specific ones for specific clients, some of them are the clients domain so when they share with me they use that email address. Your dropbox account is linked to one specific email address. So I need multiple dropbox accounts, one for each client. You can only have one dropbpox app per PC (not really but it's a PIA to have multiple) and the app is locked to a specific email, no user switching requiring you to use the web client which is just so-so.
With copy you have one primary account and can associate different email addresses with it so you have one place to manage all your shared data.
Copy.coms web interface is much better than dropbox as well.
