Mac OSX is what an operating system should be - it just works and does what it's supposed to do without getting in the way. You don't even realize it's there, unlike windows which is very "present" all the time and has more than it's fair share of ding-dongs, dancing clowns and flashy lights to distract from what you're actually trying to get done. The simplicity is great. For the few windows-only applications I need to run, I use parallels virtual machines. They work great (aside from the remote access piece, which I've never been able to get working, I think because it doesn't play nicely with little snitch and I'm very stingy about opening ports I'm not familiar with). Doesn't matter. I'm never going back. The hardware is great too. Good feel and design. I just wish the keyboards included a keypad but I can live without. Not a deal breaker.
