Good 16" are VERY tough to find. Probably a good time to move to 17" or 18" wheels. Even the 17" wheels are getting more scarce these days. I don't think that anyone believed me years ago when I forecasted that 16" tires would be as hard (back then) as trying to find a decent 'high performance' tire in 15". I'm not sure what the fate of the 17" wheels are at this point, since new cars are still being shipped out with that size (and some performance cars from the mid-2000's still came with this size wheel), but when is the last time you saw a new car with 16" HP tires? Hence, the very limited options in that size. Unless there is a radical shift of performance cars featuring 17" rims, I imagine that within the next ten years, 17" will themselves be obsolete.

Fortunately, I scored and entire set of kuhmo summer only tires about four years ago for like 400 bucks for the set (225 45/16 265/40/16). Can't find those anymore, and I still have zero miles on them (and they are well stored). Those tires won't last forever, though, when I start driving on them. When I have to buy another set, not sure WHERE I'll find them.
