You can make a screw plug work on the front main gallery,but you have to be very careful. I figured out a way to know how deep in I was screwing the plug, and marked the outside so I could get it just right, and then ground a groove into the inside of the plug so it wouldn't partially obstruct the opening on the side. Seems to work fine.

If I had a lathe, maybe I'd just replug. For that matter, a guy could make his own with a lathe, couldn't he? But, alas, I don't have room for a lathe.
