Southwest Wisconsin. Land of deer, beer and cheese. Unfortunately I don't like the taste of beer but I do like the taste of deer.
We do have some good roads to go play on and Road America is only a few hours away to the north and east of us.
Last I saw of your maps, you haven't been here yet.
Working on a 1971 911T with an E motor. Need to get the wiring harness so I can start it up. Long story short - Guy buys the 911T from a serviceman in Germany and gives it to his daughter. Daughter's boyfriend backs it into a ditch and breaks the transmission but is a mechanic and promises to fix it. They daughter and boy friend break up and while the motor is out, someone walks off with it so it now has no motor or transmission. Been sitting in the guys desert feed lot for years and sells it cheap and we buy a 911 E motor and transmission from a fellow Pelican in San Diego and a local guy is supposed to do the motor work for me. He drags his heels and we move back to Wisconsin. I have a lead on a guy not far away that does a lot of work on the old long hoods so I need to call him about getting the wiring done.
We also have a Cobra replica that is still in primer. Based on how many people ask for rides, it doesn't seem to matter but it needs a full width roll bar and paint to get on the track.
