We have finished in place hand scraped wood flooring. Bizarre concept, install nice hardwood floors then beat the crap out of them with chisels.

It's considered an upgrade in TX homes.

Was not going to have it done but the realtor convinced us that it was good for resale down the road.

PIA to clean and good luck if you need to replace a section like my next door neighbor.

He had a small coupla sq ft section get damaged by a water leak, tried 3 different companies who said they could match, eventually he ended up redoing the entire room.
