Saw a cat do something similar once. My brother and I were in college. I had a lab, he had a golden. Both females, friendly with each other, hunted together actually. Anyway, for whatever reason we're both at my parents house, out in the yard the dogs are running, playing. At some point they start getting a little mouthy with each other. Nothing serious, just dogs playing.

My parent's cat at the time must have been close to 15 years old. At some point she had seen enough. In the blink of an eye the cat covered 30ft so that she was in between the two dogs. Jumped two feet straight up, howled and did what looked like some kind of Kung Fu move. In a second blink she was back under a car 30ft away. The two dogs stopped dead in their tracks and sat there with WTF looks on their faces.

We still laugh at that story, it helps that my brother tells it Jerry Clower style. -J
