That's cool, Fred. I love bears - especially the little ones. Not so much the angry female mom's as Rika pointed out.
Today as I was rounding a turn on North Atlantic Ave. - which runs parallel to the ocean - saw a little baby Gopher tortoise who had just finished crossing the road (east to west) and in front of him about 10 feet was Momma Gopher. They were headed up into a dune. This section of the road contains a park right next to the dunes and there's a lot of natural areas left and Gopher Tortoises cross the road all the time. Makes me a bit nervous because of all the dimwit drivers who never consider there is wildlife in the area.
Anyway thanks for sharing!
