I'm in the process of a top-end rebuild on my 1987 Targa...taking it slow, but I'm committed to the process. The engine and trans I've lowered out with care and without incident. Now trying to get the engine onto the stand for disassembly.

Now I need to separate my G50 from the engine and I'm having a bit@h of a time pulling the (updated) cross shaft. The damn thing just won't budge. I've hit it twice with Aero Kroil, and have been taking the slide hammer to it, pretty aggressively too and it will not even give me the satisfaction of moving a couple of centimeters.

I'm not looking for encouragement necessarily, though if everyone comments that I just need to be persistent that will give me some solace. I'm wondering if there are any tricks to releasing that damn thing...I've search the forum several times and have read everything out there as far as 1987 and beyond G50 trans removal threads and there isn't anything there that provides any additional incite.

Please help a brotha out!!
