Cool. Is the knock counter through obd or is it a stand alone unit? Reason I ask is mechanical noise can be difficult to distinguish from true knock at high rpm. A lot of noise is generated from timing chains, valve train etc. On my MS2 car, we wired a Bosch 3 wire knock sensor to output a 3.5MM jack and recorded the raw output while on the dyno. The trained human ear can more easily distinguish true detonation or preignition and normal operational noise.
