Yes - I have supercharged my s2 and reprogrammed the Motronic maps. I also have a knock counter installed to monitor knock. Even running premium unleaded (and using an intercooler) there is a need to pull timing in the upper rev ranges.

Cool. Is the knock counter through obd or is it a stand alone unit? Reason I ask is mechanical noise can be difficult to distinguish from true knock at high rpm. A lot of noise is generated from timing chains, valve train etc. On my MS2 car, we wired a Bosch 3 wire knock sensor to output a 3.5MM jack and recorded the raw output while on the dyno. The trained human ear can more easily distinguish true detonation or preignition and normal operational noise.
The knock counter is connected to the DME knock output (diagnostic connector). Basically my counter records whatever the DME sees from the 2 knock counters (s2 remember).
