What you are experiencing is not unusual. Minor depression I would think is quite common. Yes as the above mentions exercise is a natural sedative. Also golf is good as long as you don't get too serious about it. I like going for a bike ride too.
I too can have a short temper but unfortunately I use it with my daughter occasionally. It is probably not the way to get respect but I am not a pushover either. Us folks are not perfect people. The way you or I handle our shortcomings is important.
If you need to see a psych. then do so or alternatively find the inner strength to cope. Drugs and alcohol are not the solution although a psych. might prescribe a mild sedative. Pm me if you need to talk.
