New member needs help

First let me say hello to all the Porsche enthusiasts around the World.

Maybe not the best way to start off 'cause I know you guys hate to keep answering the same questions over and over.

Just don't have the time or patience right now to search the forum... and my knees are killing me. Just want to lay down and ice them. Can I get an Amen out there ?

Had an '83 944 stored. I'd go start it about once a month and let it get warmed up before taking it to 5k. I think the problem is pretty obvious... I went to the BMV and bought new tags before I went over to check the car again.

Won't start. Went through the typical protocol. Fuel pump was working. I'm getting spark ( tries to fire up w/ ether... plus I used a spark tester) Tried a different working ECU. Unscrewed the cap from the fuel rail and quite a bit of gas was coming out but it wasn't shooting across the garage.

Not having a fuel pressure gauge I'm wondering if fuel pressure may be a problem and confusing the ECU.

I put in a new clutch a while back and can't remember if I used the old speed sensors or bought new ones.

That's all I can think of and it goes without saying... any help will be much appreciated.

Dave
