Went there many times as a kid in those days. c1970 we were there watching the gorillas when a woman kept tossing peanuts at one of the male gorillas down in the enclosure some 30 feet below. She finally beaned the ape on the head and the gathered crowd laughed. Quick as a wink the gorilla picked up a piece of his own poop and flung it at the woman, hitting her in the head! It was one hell of a spectacle. The crowd really laughed when that happened.
