Easy fix for central locking

Finally got around to looking into why the central locking wasn't working.

There's a nylon link rod from the central locking solenoid in the door to the lock mechanism itself. A socket in the link rod engages with a pip in the lock mechanism. and the ball in the link rod in both doors the car had worn and disengaged from the lock. So two new link rods at $7 each and I have central locking again!

If your central locking makes a faint clunck noise from both doors but does nothing else you probably have the same problem.
