It all depends what you want.
I've owned a few - 71S, 73S and 2 76s.
In Jersey (Channel Islands) the 76 was much more satisfying to drive than the 71. Small roads and torque an asset. The 73 911S was brilliant in Alberta.
But when I owned the 73 911S in Alberta, I also had a brand new Toyota MR2 AW11. I honestly used to laugh out loud when I changed from one to the other - muscle car to sewing machine.
You've got to love them all - when they are running.
Now in Australia I own a 1976 911 and ... an AW11. LOL!
