I believe the Mustang had the same engine. Both the Mustang and Spitfire were very beautiful but the later Mustangs with the extended range to accompany the bombers were a huge breakthrough in WW2. If ever I had a choice of eras to live in WW2 would be up there. What an exciting time to experience but pretty dangerous.....
