echoing Jack's post and Tyson's plus my two cents - here it is:

My car still has its origianl black paint - chipped, swirled and faded to Shiite. One look and you can tell this thing has been driven - I mean DRIVEN. Honestly, I'll tell you, it was mainly the PO who drove it like he stole it (I've owned it for three years and recently put in the 3.0). But what I can tell you, it that when people see my ride they know I mean business and with it comes that subtle nod of respect. Because at the end of the day, you win some and you lose some but you ALWAYS drive like hell!!!

Would new paint be nice - nawww, I like the character.
