My wife has heard me say it a lot. The reason I own 1980s cars it I don't HAVE to work on them, I get to.
The Elky intake manifold was more than I really wanted to do AGAIN but it got done. I can't imagine owing a new car and having a professional work on it for me. Someday when I can't do it anymore, but not for a while. I can spend hours tinkering on a small job. I had to replace the windshield washer pump on the Elky last weekend. It was a easy job and I have done it several times.
Hey Rick, where in the heck is the high power headlight washer for a Carrera? The windshield washer pump is next to the battery. The other pump is hidden behind the bumper. Can I just drop the washer tank to get to the headlight washer pump? Do I have to remove the bumper?
The current pump works, but it leaks like crazy. I guess a hose is split or a plastic connection is broken. I have the replacement pump but I can't find how to replace it. The Bentley manual does not even mention it.
