One of the sad things about my education in school about history is it all focused on the US deeds. It mentioned the Allies, but I never really learned about WW2 until I was an adult. The history books listed the American battles and had little mention of the many millions that died in Russia. I never really understood how many countries were fighting until many years after school.
I just hope that the world will remember the battles and the horrors of WW2 in another 30 years, and at the 200th anniversary of D-day in 2144.
