Apparently it is a real experiment, but not one based on labels.
The labels came after as a way of identifying the samples.

It may be worth experiment on water to see how it freezes/crystallizes after exposed to different reflected light energy (pictures), or different sound wave energy (praying/music), but to what end I do not know.
