This is indeed sad news... Need to pen a note for him right now and send it...

By the way, hope this doesn't offend anyone, but if any type of badge is made in his honor, it would be pretty cool to donate the profits to something of his choice. He was involved with young people in schools (science I believe) - can't remember the details but I picked that up from one of a couple phone conversations with him a few years back. Someone closer perhaps could elaborate. I'd sure be honored to put that on my car and think kindly about him every time my eyes fell on the badge.

We are not just using a valued community member, we are losing a truly classy human being...
