I like many on this board starting driving at an early age, 11. Learned on my grandfathers farm in Utah during the summer driving tractors and jeeps.

My son had his permit for just over a year. He loved driving but would always say, " dad there are to many drivers not paying attention". It took him awhile to become comfortable with that and having a better sense of his surroundings.

I bought that 911 my senior year in high school with my own money at age 17. It's always been my "car" but being able to share the experience of an early 911 with out all the distractions of modern vehicles is nice and never seems to disappoint the person behind the wheel.

Planning on a track day with him this fall.
