I taught Zack to drive manual when he was around 14. Took him to isolated areas in my old Audi TT. No torque to speak of so it was a bit of a challenge but he got it within a couple hours. Now he's 17 and driving my 996 6M on the weekends (with me along) is a breeze
Many of Zack's friends don't drive - no interest. Strange. Zack loves the freedom and finds any excuse to head out in his car.
