I really am a believer in the old saying "everything happens for a reason" and I think this is the same.
I've been saving for a while and wanted to spend half my car fund on the car itself and have the other half reserved for unforeseen issues. I feel like any extra dollar spent on a conversion like this will have next to no marginal benefit in the long run; so for now I'll save for the real deal. Maybe a nice graduation gift for myself in a couple years
This has been a great eye-opener though and I plan to be more active on the forums and really start doing my research and pinpointing what I want rather than wait for shady "too good to be true" back doors.
It's a great community you have here, can't wait to start being more active in it
