I always thought the consensus was the 72 was the most desirable of the longhoods. It was the longer wheelbase with the largest displacement motor for the early cars. It was just before emissions and impact bumpers regulations in the states, which changed the look and performance of the cars
I always thought the oil door was useful and unique. I must confess I have only owned mine since full service stations have disappeared so I have been the only one to pump gas on my car.
