The only mandatory inspection in BC I'm aware of is the "Smog" test at the government organized smog station. I had, until a few years ago, an '82 911SC and that only ever had a mandatory "smog" test every year or tow. They do not drive the car but rather put in on a dyno and run the tests. Never had a concern about that. Or, are you talking about the inspection for registering a car that you're bringing in from the US. That's a whole different story but from what I hear Canadian Tire doesn't drive the car. Agree, check with the shops mentioned but I'm not sure what test you're speaking of an I've been driving Porsche's over 40 years in Vancouver.
