I find it very interesting that Porsche now recommends 20W-50 for all engines up to 2.7 l, and fully synthetic 10W-60 for everything 3.0 l and above, basically anything turbo and SC or newer. Their reasoning is tighter tolerances on the 3.0 and above engines:
